and for a few movie reviews...

rent : amazing. the most beautiful and touching movie! I cried about 3, 4 times. every song was done perfectly. and yes, it is not as good as rent on stage, but how could it be? it was the best possible depiction of rent on the big screen that it could be. the great thing is that they acted just like they do on stage, they had the same attitude and mannurisms from what I can remember. and the really great, I can reaaally picture those songs being performed when I listen to them. I have clear images in my mind of the story, which makes much more sense to me now. my favorite song by far was "I'll cover you (reprise)", then "will I?" (which I is my favorite ballet dance that I ever did!), "take me or leave me", then "tango maureen" (hilarious) and then "santa fe"...I loved the poles. was so great...and I loved that I saw it with kelli and my old dance teacher laurie.:)

walk the line : holy crap. great great great movie. joaquin phoenix is HOT. I mean, hott. he was so great, I really truly believed he was johnny cash. he sang SO well and his emotional scenes were just incredible. my favorite part was at the end when he put that black jacket on...mmmmmm. and reese, don't even get me started! she was gorgeous, eloquent, funny, and talented! she sings so sweetly and she just played her character so so so well...I loved every scene she was in. they better both win oscars, seriously. I don't even know how to express how much my love for these two actors has gone least 30 notches.

and I want, need, must have the soundtracks to these two movies.

they provide such joy during this stresssssful time!

2 days!

Kristi [userpic]
i know that everybody loves the posts where people write about all the crap they have to do...

stop begging already!

1-pass the stupid history content exam when i take it on december 3...and if i don't pass, guess what, no student teaching
2-finish my huge history project on lewis and clark journals
3-do the ol' regularly scheduled hw and tests
4-get a C+ or above on all my classes...I'd prefer B's but I'm not gonna push myself too hard

and if I meet all those...

I still have to student teach, do well with that, and also pass another stupid state exam required for illinois teachers.
I hate illinois.

that may not seem like a lot, but those 4 things will pretty much decide whether or not I can graduate, especially #1...i mean, that one needs prayer.

so until december 3, I won't have much of a life...and even after that I have finals and what not...
so don't expect to see me online that much...I might post, but I doubt I'll get on aim unless i need some social relief.

so long, farewell, auf wiedersein goodbye!
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye...

for the past few monthsI have been looking for encouragement...

something to show me that God is definitely in control regardless of the way people choose to treat me...
...regardless of what happens to me today...
...regardless of the tears that so often show up...

he brought me all things good that I have had in my life, no one else, so how can I not trust that the love ahead is even better?!
...regardless of who it is with...
he will fulfill my heart with joy and unconditional, committing love.

these are things that have popped up during my day that I thought might encourage you guys...

"I love you O Lord, my strength."-Psalm 18:1 courtesy of Michael Hollingsworth

"If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it."

"I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time." -Anna Freud

"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood."-Marie Curie

I love this one...
"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."-Franklin Delano Roosevelt

"...that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and hath shed His own blood for my is well with my soul..."

so many times I just wanna quit and give up even giving an effort, cause I gave my heart and love to someone and now it feels like that wasn't even worth it...but then I look at it positively, thank God for gifting me with the ability to love someone that much and to be capable of an unconditional feeling of makes me see that I can be a commmitted, giving person, and that I can love others in that way. so if it helps, look at your situation a little differently. and spend your days not crying and worrying over the future, but by thinking of how freaking much God loves you, think about his unbelievable Heart for you.

I promise, it works.

and it always helps to think about the things that make you happy, no matter what.
for me, its harry potter, coffee, books, and my favorite tv shows...OH and food.
definitely, food.

that...and the fact that this is one of the most beautiful autumns I have ever witnessed!
so in life like this...
